Cover Supervisors – Secondary Schools

Are you a graduate considering a career in teaching, or do you have experience working in secondary schools? We are currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across London.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, develop your confidence, and build a pathway into teacher training.

The Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a classroom in the absence of the teacher. You will deliver pre-set work, ensure students remain on task, and maintain a positive and focused learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervising whole classes during teacher absences

* Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students stay engaged

* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

* Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons

* Supporting the wider school team when required

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

* A degree (or be working towards one), or relevant experience in a school setting

* A genuine interest in education and potentially pursuing teaching

* Strong communication and classroom management skills

* Confidence working with secondary-aged students (KS3–KS5)

* A proactive, flexible, and professional approach
