Salary: £108 - £115 per day, depending on experience
Teach Plus is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Hounslow, starting ASAP.This full-time Teaching Assistant position involves supporting a small SEND class of approximately 6-8 children with complex needs, including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties (SLCD), and children who are non-verbal.
The successful Teaching Assistant will play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning, communication, independence and emotional development, helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment tailored to individual needs.
The school is a specialist setting in Hounslow, supporting children with a range of additional learning needs through a personalised and structured approach to education.
With a strong focus on inclusion, communication, emotional wellbeing and individual progress, the school provides a supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop essential life skills and reach their full potential.
Staff work collaboratively with teachers, the SEND team and other professionals to deliver tailored learning experiences, maintain consistent routines and ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.

- Support pupils with complex SEND, including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties, and non-verbal communication needs.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated and individualised learning activities.
- Develop positive relationships with pupils, encouraging communication, independence, social interaction and emotional regulation.
- Implement individual support strategies and follow personalised learning plans to meet each child's specific needs.
- Promote a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment, supporting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and other professionals to monitor pupil progress and provide consistent support throughout the school day.
- Experience working with children with SEND
- Minimum of 3 months UK experience working in a school setting
- Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
