About Us:
Steelo is a well-established structural steel fabricator, proudly serving the London area and recently recognised as London’s Best Steel Fabricator. We specialise in high-quality, precision steel fabrication for a wide range of projects and industries. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a talented Tekla Draughtsman to join our dynamic and supportive Design Team.
The Role:
As a Tekla Draughtsman at Steelo, you will play a key role in detailing structural steelwork projects, producing accurate 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures (or other CAD software). You will communicate with clients, engineers, and suppliers, ensuring each project runs smoothly from concept to fabrication. This is a detail-focused role; structural calculations are not required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create detailed 3D models of steel structures using Tekla Structures
* Prepare accurate drawings for fabrication in line with company standards
* Coordinate with customers, structural engineers, and architects
* Liaise with suppliers and order necessary materials
* Work closely with other departments to ensure project delivery
* Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
* Answer client queries and provide excellent communication throughout
Requirements:
* Previous experience with Tekla Structures or other CAD software (essential)
* Background in Civil/Structural Engineering (desirable)
* Good understanding of 3D structures and technical drawings
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
