An excellent opportunity has arisen for Band 7 Senior Therapeutic Radiographers to join a busy and well-established Oncology and Radiotherapy Centre within an acute hospital setting in the South West of England. This role is ideal for experienced radiographers looking to step into a senior position within a supportive, forward‑thinking clinical environment.

The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering high-quality radiotherapy services, supporting junior staff, and contributing to the safe and effective running of the radiotherapy department.

• Deliver highly specialised radiotherapy treatment in line with local and national protocols.
• Act as a senior clinical presence within the radiotherapy unit, providing leadership and day‑to‑day support to the therapy team.
• Ensure patient care is delivered to the highest standard, maintaining dignity, safety and compassion at all times.
• Support treatment planning, verification, and delivery using modern radiotherapy techniques and equipment.
• Contribute to clinical governance, risk management and service improvement initiatives.
• Participate in training, mentoring and supervision of junior radiographers and students.
• Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary oncology team including oncologists, physicists, nurses and support staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.

• Degree in Therapeutic Radiography (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration as a Therapeutic Radiographer.
• Significant post‑qualification experience within a radiotherapy / oncology setting.
• Experience working at senior level or acting up into a Band 7 role.
• Strong clinical knowledge of radiotherapy techniques and patient pathways.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to high standards of patient‑centred care and professional practice.

• Experience in service development, audit or quality improvement.
• Previous involvement in staff training or student supervision.
• Experience with modern radiotherapy systems and advanced treatment techniques.
