An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buyer / Supply Chain Specialist to join a major airline at London Heathrow, supporting the delivery of a pioneering connectivity programme that is set to transform the passenger experience and redefine how airlines stay connected globally.

Key Responsibilities- Manage the procurement of materials, equipment and services required for a major aviation technology programme.
- Work closely with engineering, project, operational and supplier teams to ensure timely delivery of critical components.
- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with procurement policies and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times and delivery schedules.
- Support supplier negotiations to achieve best value, quality and service levels.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that may impact programme milestones.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and support planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with aviation, quality and regulatory requirements.
We are looking for someone with:
Previous experience in a Buyer, Procurement, Supply Chain or Purchasing role
Strong supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience managing purchase orders, sourcing activities and supply chain operations
Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work within a fast-paced, project-focused environment
Experience with in aviation, engineering, manufacturing or technology sectors would be highly desirable
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
Must have the existing right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available for this position
