About

The Role Hounslow Council is seeking to recruit a dynamic and motivated Head of Delivery and Performance to join its Regeneration and Economic Growth division, part of the Placemaking and Growth directorate. As Head of Delivery and Performance, you’ll lead the service working across the division, providing clear programme direction and ensuring the effective performance management of regeneration and economic development projects and programmes.

You’ll need to be able to lead this team and work with senior leaders through to project managers to support the effective management, development, delivery, and impact measurement of regeneration and growth across the borough.

You will lead the development and management of complex budgets, formal reporting, track financial and performance progress, and provide assurance to the Executive Director, Director, and Assistant Directors of Regeneration and Economic Growth of the status of their programme of works. You will help the Council build on lessons learnt from projects, identify innovative approaches to address challenges and deliver improved outcomes for residents.

You’ll come with substantial programme/portfolio management experience including a clear understanding of financial management of regeneration and housing programmes and expertise dealing with complex budgets and reporting. You will have a broad knowledge of the housing and regeneration sectors.

Whilst a background in housing and regeneration is desirable it is not essential, as we are keen to recruit a Head of Service with a wide range of skills and experiences, and critically, an excellent ability to identify problems and find solutions working with a range of stakeholders.
