Overview:
We are recruiting for a driven and experienced Production Manager to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will lead a large production team to deliver operational excellence, ensuring high-quality food is produced safely, efficiently, and in line with customer and business expectations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong people leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about driving continuous improvement, operational performance, and team development.
- Proven experience in a Production Manager or Senior Production leadership role within manufacturing.
- Experience with in Food Manufacturing or FMCG environments is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing large production teams.
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, GMP and Food Safety standards.
- Experience implementing Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- As Production Manager, you will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Confident communicator who can collaborate across production, planning, technical and engineering teams.
- A proactive, energetic leader with the ability to drive performance and culture within the team.
- Leading and developing the production team to deliver operational excellence and achieve manufacturing KPIs.
- Ensuring all production activities are carried out safely and in line with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
- Driving a strong food safety culture and ensuring the site remains audit-ready against BRC and GMP standards.
- Delivering efficiency improvements through Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- As Production Manager, you will be managing process and equipment improvements in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Supporting the successful introduction of new products into production, ensuring trials and launches are delivered effectively.
- Developing a high performing team through coaching, training, and performance management.
