As a Relief
Security Officer at Securitas, you’ll do more than protect what’s important—you’ll empower people to thrive. Your presence will make others feel safe, welcome, and supported.

From patrolling key areas to overseeing gatehouse operations and serving as the trusted point of contact for clients, your role as a Relief Security Officer makes you an integral part of something much bigger. You will work as part of a team to ensure the highest level of security for our client, safeguarding both premises and personnel🌟

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
• To provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• A valid SIA licence
• Driving licence
• Flexibility to travel on weekends and bank holidays for 6am start shift
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
• Candidates will need to successfully complete the screening process, which may take between 6 to 8 weeks depending on their employment history
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
