Wimbledon Hockey Club is a friendly, vibrant and successful club based in South West London. We pride ourselves on developing players and coaches in a supportive, high‑performance environment and work closely with experienced, world‑class coaches and GB internationals.

We are seeking talented and motivated Gap Year Coaches to join our coaching and administrative team for the 2026/27 season. This role is ideal for gap year students, placement year students, post‑graduates, or aspiring coaches/hockey players looking to develop their coaching skills while gaining valuable experience within a leading hockey club.

You will have the opportunity to coach players across all age groups, support the day‑to‑day running of the club, and be involved in a wide range of coaching and operational projects.

• Deliver high‑quality coaching sessions to players from U5s through to senior level.
• Assist with the planning and coordination of junior teams and programmes.
• Support weekend fixtures and tournaments.
• Work collaboratively with other coaches to deliver club‑wide coaching initiatives.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to club operations.
• Support the operations manager with day‑to‑day running of the club.
• Contribute to club projects, including social media and communications where required.

• Passion for hockey and coaching.
• Talented and motivated coach and/or hockey player.
• Willingness to learn and develop coaching skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience coaching hockey.
• Familiarity with administrative tasks and social media.
• Interest in developing a career in coaching or sports management.
