4 On, 4 Off Days | 7:00am - 7:00pm

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Air Freight Operator to join a leading international freight forwarding and logistics organisation at London Heathrow.

Working within a busy and established Heathrow operation, you will manage a combination of air import and export shipments, taking ownership of freight movements from initial booking through to final delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who enjoys the variety of handling both imports and exports and wants to join a stable, progressive global business with a strong presence within international freight forwarding.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing air import and export shipments from start to finish
• Arranging bookings with airlines and overseas offices
• Preparing and checking Air Waybills and shipping documentation
• Completing import and export customs entries
• Coordinating collections and final deliveries
• Tracking shipments and providing customers with regular updates
• Liaising with airlines, handling agents, overseas offices and transport providers
• Resolving operational issues and ensuring shipments move within agreed timescales
• Maintaining accurate shipment files and completing invoicing
• Providing a consistently high level of customer service

We are looking for someone with:

• Previous air freight operations experience
• Experience handling Air Imports and/or Air Exports
• Good understanding of customs procedures and freight documentation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach

Salary up to £38,000

Additional 10% shift allowance
