Senior & Staff Accountants – ERP Backfill
Location: Remote / Hybrid (Houston preferred)
Start Date: Mid-to-Late November
Position OverviewThe Senior and Staff Accountants are responsible for performing core accounting and reporting activities across Memorial Hermann’s entities.
While most roles are senior-level (5-7 years), one Accountant II (2–4 years) will join the team. All will post journal entries, perform reconciliations, and close deliverables under the guidance of senior staff.
Three of the Senior Accountants will specialize one-each in Fixed Assets & Leases, Supply Chain / Inventory Accounting, and Epic Cash Reconciliation, while the others will focus on general ledger and audit preparation.
All roles require a BA/BS in Accounting [NOT Finance].
Job ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities (All Levels)
- Prepare and post journal entries in Lawson
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations in Blackline
- Conduct variance analysis and ensure timely month-end close
- Assist with quarterly and year-end audits led by EY
- Support financial reporting deliverables and internal controls
- Partner with the ERP project team on data validation and reporting accuracy as needed
- Maintain process documentation and compliance with internal standards
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (from accredited university; non-negotiable)
- 5–7 years of accounting experience for Senior-level roles
- 2–4 years of experience for the Accountant II-level role
- Strong Lawson (Infor) and Excel skills required
- Experience with Blackline preferred
- Healthcare industry background a plus, not required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Local preferred, remote/hybrid considered
