Entry Level Tax Accountant Assistant for CPA Firm This is an exciting opportunity as an entry level Tax Accountant Assistant. Our Memorial-Area boutique CPA firm is looking for a strategic thinker who is looking to develop their skills and learn the world of tax accounting. This position is Monday-Friday (with flexible hours between 8:00am to 5:00pm). This position provides valuable experience.

• Assist in the Preparation of federal income tax returns for personal & business
• Prepare Texas Franchise Tax & State Returns
• Help with IRS correspondence
• Running quarterly estimates
• Working with Quick Books
• Preparing 1099s, W2s Etc.
• Data Entry
• Help file tax return extensions and prepare drafts/final returns for client review
• Miscellaneous projects to provide support to our tax team as needed

• Understand the technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
• Familiar in financial statement preparation, payroll reports and data entry
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong reconciliation, data manipulation, analytical and problem-solving skill
• Able to identify and resolve discrepancies and proactively communication with client on important issues
• Strong time management skills while working with multiple clients and deadlines
• Able to work independently with good communication skills
