Accounting Manager

Job Overview

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, we are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our pipeline accounting and finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of oil and gas, midstream, or pipeline accounting experience with deep knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, and of US GAAP. If hired, you will be responsible for all aspects of property accounting for multiple midstream and pipeline projects.

• Responsible for all financial accounting processes for a $5B portfolio of midstream assets and investments.
• Lead monthly accounting close, including preparation and review of journal entries and financial analysis.
• Oversee maintenance and execution of SOX control environment and activities.
• Prepare and review timely and accurate management and investor reports and support external reporting requirements (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q, etc.).
• Work closely with other accounting personnel, FP&A, project operations and management, and the corporate financial reporting team to ensure proper accounting, consolidation and reporting of all assigned projects.
• Prepare and review monthly accrual vs. actual variance analysis.
• Oversee internal and external audits for portfolio.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of accounting experience in oil and gas, midstream or pipeline environment.
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP, FERC regulations and reporting.
• Experience with SAP Financial systems (S4 HANA).
• Advanced Excel skills and excellent technical accounting knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
