Senior Accountant - Payroll

David Mladenka is a Senior Manager for LHH Consulting, a CFO advisory and project execution services firm.

LHH is currently recruiting a Senior Accountant with SAP S/4

HANA and payroll accounting experience for a contract assignment with one of our clients in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, month‑end close, and SAP S/4

HANA systems experience.

Job

Duties include:

• Perform month‑end close functions including journal entry preparation and review of accruals.
• Prepare and analyze balance sheet account reconciliations and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for reconciling payroll and benefits related accounts, and preparing journal entries to record payroll and benefits in the general ledger.
• Perform monthly variance analysis and review of reconciling items.
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of general accounting and analysis experience.
• Advanced Excel and SAP S/4
  
  HANA systems experience.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
