Joint Venture Accounting Analyst (Contract)

Key Responsibilities- Guide support for the Cos Mar JV plant and provide direct support for BTP/Olefines, Bay Star, STP, C3 Splitter, and other JVs.
- Oversee month‑end close accruals, allocations, and journal entries for operating fixed and variable costs, maintenance work orders, and JV entries.
- Partner with the FP&A team to refine the annual operating Long‑Term Plan and budget.
- Review balance sheet accounts monthly for JVs.
- Act as single point of contact and coordinator for annual interim and final financial audit for COSMAR JV Audit.
- Assist in JV audits by coordinating support with operating partners.
- Ensure TEPRI and JV financials are accurately recorded in the TEPRI SAP system and reflect partner equity and loan balances.
- Support accounting and IT projects with testing, implementation, and improvement recommendations.
- Perform additional accounting operations tasks as needed.
- Lead operational excellence to meet strict month‑end close deadlines.
- Establish a strong presence as the single point of contact for business units.
- Engage with stakeholders to discuss projects and priorities.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and reporting deadlines.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert for JV accounting needs.
- Collaborate with joint venture partners and provide guidance.
- Assist with day‑to‑day operations for efficient workflow.
- Partner with FP&A for strategic financial insights.
- Contribute to innovative solutions and process improvements.
- Support change management initiatives for transfers to Shared Service Centers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA/MBA beneficial
- 3 to 5+ years of accounting experience
- Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience preferred
- Joint Venture and Equity accounting experience a plus
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
