Senior Accountant

Piper Maddox is partnering with a leading land-owner and capital provider who is backed by two of the largest infrastructure investors with over $400 billion in combined assets under management. This business has partnered with the leading energy developers and IPP’s to produce over 9GW of energy assets across the US.

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in financial reporting and an ability to provide strategic financial insight to support business objectives.

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Collaborate with external auditors during financial and tax audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
• Maintain and update internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification:
  Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
• Experience:
  
  6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
