Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a contract position where you will play a key role in managing payment processes and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and attention to detail to support efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Process and verify invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

- Ensure proper coding of invoices and adherence to company policies.

- Conduct regular check runs and maintain payment schedules.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.

- Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions for audit purposes.

- Utilize accounting software, including Intacct and Service Titan, to manage workflows.

- Support the Accounts Receivable and Quote-to-Cash processes when required.

- Assist in month-end closing activities by providing accurate accounts payable data.

- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth operations. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

- Proficiency in coding invoices and managing check runs.

- Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation.

- Knowledge of accounting software such as Intacct and Service Titan is preferred.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

- Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and colleagues.

- Availability to work onsite in Houston, Texas, five days a week.
