Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing high-volume invoice processing and maintaining accurate financial records. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who excel in full-cycle accounts payable processes and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of invoices, up to 1,800 per month, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Perform full-cycle accounts payable tasks, including three-way matching, expense reporting, and invoice coding.

- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies by conducting thorough research.

- Handle vendor correspondence and address payment inquiries while escalating complex invoice issues to appropriate locations.

- Support month-end close activities, including processing invoices within a four-business-day deadline.

- Utilize software tools such as SharePoint and Excel, including pivot tables, to streamline accounts payable operations.

- Collaborate with over 30 locations to ensure seamless payment processing and communication.

- Maintain paperless records and uphold compliance with company procedures and policies. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, including full-cycle processing.

- Proficiency in three-way matching, expense reporting, and invoice coding.

- Intermediate skills in Excel, including the ability to create and analyze pivot tables.

- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Syteline is preferred.

- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle high-volume workflows.

- Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders.

- Experience with paperless accounts payable systems is a plus.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
