Accounts Payable Clerk

We are assisting a client desiring to find an enthusiastic and motivated team member to join their company in an
Accounts Payable Clerk
function.

Our client is looking for an entry level accounts payable clerk to be responsible for processing invoices received for payment and undertaking the payment of creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, recording and posting accounts payable data
• Research discrepancies and provide solutions
• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts payable status
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy

Skills:

• Proven working experience as an accounts payable clerk (or accounts receivable clerk)
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• The ability to communicate and work effectively with teammates, vendors, and customers
• Must have working knowledge in the operation of computer software (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, and etc.) and the ability to adapt quickly to additional programs
• Three way P.O. matching
• 10 key experience required

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 to 2 years experience in an accounting or administrative position preferred
• Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills
