Location: League City, Texas (Marina-One) I Downtown - Houston, Texas
Reports to: Director, Financial Reporting
Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday between 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (37.5 hours, minimum). Must be available to work outside normal business hours during peak periods.
Join our growing team as a Senior Accounting Analyst
, where you’ll play a key role in supporting our expanding business and reinsurance initiatives. This is an individual‑contributor position with opportunities for continued development.
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations
- Apply GAAP and statutory accounting principles
- Maintain and document internal controls
- Support reinsurance transactions
- Manage insurance accounting processes
- Participate in month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities
- Contribute to new system implementations and reinsurance growth projects
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Experience with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes
- Strong background in internal controls and documentation (SOX/public accounting knowledge)
- Solid GAAP accounting experience
- Reinsurance and insurance accounting experience beneficial
- Proven proficiency in Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- CPA strongly preferred
