A growing organization in Northwest Houston is seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant to support acquisition-related accounting integration work.

This role will focus on transitioning newly acquired businesses from cash-basis accounting to accrual-basis accounting
, cleaning up and standardizing financial records, and supporting the integration of those businesses into the company’s accounting systems and processes.

This is a hands‑on consulting opportunity best suited for an experienced Accounting Manager, Controller, Senior Accountant, or Accounting Consultant who has personally led or completed cash-to-accrual conversions and can work independently with minimal direction.

• Convert acquired businesses from cash-basis to accrual-basis accounting

• Review existing books and identify required accounting adjustments

• Record and reconcile accruals, prepaid expenses, liabilities, receivables, and other balance-sheet accounts

• Clean up and normalize accounting records

• Establish accurate opening balances and accrual-based financial reporting

• Support post‑acquisition accounting integration

• Assist with accounting system conversions and migrations

• Work with Quick Books environments used by acquired businesses

• Support the company’s ongoing Net Suite implementation

• Partner with accounting leadership on acquisition integration projects

• Independently manage accounting transition work from start to completion

• Strong senior‑level accounting experience

• Hands‑on experience converting a business from cash basis to accrual basis

• Experience with accounting cleanup, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and acquisition integration

• Ability to independently assess accounting issues and determine appropriate adjustments

• Strong understanding of accrual accounting and financial reporting

• Comfortable working in smaller‑company accounting environments

• Available to work onsite in Northwest Houston
