Record revenue, remit and report severance taxes for oil and gas sales associated with company operated properties. Process natural gas plant allocations. Review and process division of interest changes received from Land Administration and respond to royalty owners' inquiries. Support audits. Collect and monitor accounts receivable, monitor pipeline imbalances, and prepare related entries. Prepare Division monthly revenue accruals, analyze Division financial statements and prepare variance explanations.
Perform account reconciliations and analysis on revenue related general ledger accounts. Work on special projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting desired, CPA is a plus.
- A business degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 hours of Accounting will be considered.
- 5+ years of oil and gas industry accounting experience with a concentration in revenue accounting is preferred.
- Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others in the organization to consistently meet rigorous deadlines.
- Requires accuracy, strong analytical and critical-thinking ability, identifying process inefficiencies, and implementing practical solutions.
- Must be proficient in Windows, MS Excel, and Word.
- Knowledge of SQL and MS Queries a plus.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
