Accounting Specialist Law Firm

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join a professional services firm in Houston. This position will support the Accounting Manager with day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, credit card reconciliations, client billing, expense processing, and new matter setup
.

• Process accounts payable invoices
  , check requests, and employee reimbursements
• Reconcile firm credit cards and research discrepancies
• Assist with the client billing process
• Track monthly firm expenses and incorporate applicable expenses into client billing
• Run client conflict checks and assist with new client/matter setup
• Assist with attorney accounting inquiries
• Enter attorney time as needed
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist the Accounting Manager with additional accounting projects as needed

• Previous accounting, AP, billing, or bookkeeping experience
• Law firm or professional services experience is a plus
• Understanding of basic accounting principles
• Strong data-entry skills with excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Bachelor?s degree preferred, but not required
