Accounting Controller

We are a growing and well-established steel fabrication company specializing in structural and miscellaneous metals for commercial and industrial projects. With a strong backlog and continued growth, we are seeking a Financial Controller to lead our accounting operations and help drive strategic financial decisions.

The Financial Controller will oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, and internal controls. This individual will play a key role in supporting leadership with financial insights while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across project-based accounting processes.

• Oversee daily accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting for fabrication projects
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory requirements
• Implement and improve internal controls, processes, and reporting systems
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and banking partners

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in construction or steel fabrication
• Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
• Experience with accounting software such as Viewpoint Vista, Foundations, Sage, Quick Books, or similar ERP systems
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Base salary: $125,000 - $180,000
• Performance-based bonus
