Accounts Receivable

Description

Our client is looking for an AR clerk to join their team on a long term contract basis. This role is well suited for someone who can manage high-volume invoice activity, maintain accurate records, and help keep payment workflows organized and timely. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in payables-related processes and is comfortable handling coding, invoice review, and check processing in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper supporting documentation before processing

- Assign correct accounting codes to invoices and ensure charges are recorded in the appropriate categories

- Process invoices efficiently while maintaining compliance with company procedures and payment deadlines

- Prepare and support check run activities to help ensure vendors are paid accurately and on schedule

- Reconcile invoice details with purchase records or related documentation to resolve discrepancies promptly

- Maintain organized financial records and update transaction information within accounting systems

- Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to address payment questions and outstanding items

- Assist with routine reporting and other accounting support tasks related to invoice and payment activity

Requirements

- Experience supporting an ar team on closely related accounting functions

- Ability to code invoices accurately and consistently in a high-volume setting

- Working knowledge of invoice processing procedures and payment workflows

- Familiarity with check runs and related documentation requirements

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies

- Proficiency with accounting systems and standard office software

- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
