Crescent Energy is seeking an experienced Lead Revenue Accountant to join our Houston-based accounting organization, supporting upstream oil and gas operations across the Company’s core operating areas, including the Eagle Ford, Permian, and Uinta Basins. This position offers the opportunity to support a growing public company with a diverse portfolio of producing assets and a strong focus on cash flow, financial discipline, and shareholder returns.

The Lead Revenue Accountant will lead key revenue accounting processes, ensuring the accurate and timely accounting of oil, natural gas, and NGL revenues. Responsibilities include settlement analysis, revenue recognition, distribution accounting, accruals, reconciliations, financial close activities, and contract-related accounting. The role will provide technical guidance to team members, help resolve complex accounting issues, and drive improvements in processes and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of upstream oil and gas accounting experience, including direct experience in revenue accounting. They will bring strong technical and analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to coordinate across Accounting, Production Accounting, Marketing, Land, and Operations. Primary Responsibilities Revenue Accounting Leadership:
Lead assigned oil, natural gas, and NGL revenue accounting processes, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately, completely, and on time in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

Settlement and Distribution Accounting:
Review and analyze oil purchaser statements, gas plant statements, residue gas settlements, NGL proceeds, pricing, deductions, transportation charges, royalties, and other ownership distributions. Investigate and resolve discrepancies affecting recorded revenues and related owner payments.

Accounting Close and Reconciliations:
Coordinate assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities. Prepare and review reconciliations of revenue-related accounts, production and sales volumes, inventories, and accounts receivable balances. Drive timely resolution of reconciling items.

Accruals and Financial Reporting:
Lead the preparation and analysis of revenue accruals, perform accrual-to-actual reviews, investigate variances, and provide explanations to support financial and management reporting.

Technical Guidance and Issue Resolution:
Serve as a resource for complex revenue accounting matters, provide guidance and mentoring to team members, and support consistent accounting practices across assigned assets.

Contract and Commercial Support:
