High Volume AP Specialist

Our client is looking for a high volume AP specialist to join their team on long term contract basis. This role will be a hybrid work schedule and work on a very large team.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices by preparing electronic and paper documents for entry into the accounts payable workflow and ensuring records are captured accurately.
• Investigate payment and invoice questions from plant personnel and external vendors, providing timely follow-up and clear resolution.
• Maintain vendor records and support payment operations, including checks, ACH transactions, wire activity, and check void processing.
• Create and update Excel spreadsheets and other reporting files to track accounts payable activity and support daily operations.
• Perform research within accounting and workflow systems to resolve discrepancies, verify coding, and support transaction processing.
• Organize, print, and retain accounts payable documentation and reports in accordance with recordkeeping expectations.
• Assist with month-end close activities and contribute to compliance with accounts payable policies, procedures, and approval controls.
• Provide support for additional accounts payable duties such as 1099-related tasks and invoice handling completed outside the primary workflow system.
