We’re looking for an experienced Client Accounting Services (CAS) accountant who understands small-business accounting, enjoys building strong client relationships, and loves solving practical accounting problems.

You’ll work with a variety of clients, generally ranging from $1M–$10M in revenue, and take full ownership of their accounting needs. Your work will range from ongoing accounting and new client onboarding to cleanups, catch-ups, and special projects. You’ll review books, identify and resolve issues, handle cash and accrual accounting, improve accounting processes, and communicate directly with clients along the way.

This is a hands‑on role with plenty of variety and autonomy. We’re looking for someone with strong accounting fundamentals and good judgment who can recognize when something doesn’t look right, figure out what needs to happen next, and confidently move the work forward. You’ll have the independence to own your work while being part of a collaborative team that’s there when you need them.

• Review small‑business books and financials, identify accounting issues or inconsistencies, and determine what needs to be corrected
• Handle cash and basic accrual accounting, including reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, payroll accruals, fixed assets, loans, prepaids, and other common small‑business transactions
• Evaluate new client books and help identify cleanup, catch‑up, or setup work needed
• Complete accounting cleanups, catch‑ups, Quick Books Online conversions, and new client setup projects
• Review balance sheets and profit and loss statements for accuracy and resolve issues before financials are delivered to clients
• Work directly with clients to gather information, answer accounting questions, explain issues, and help them understand their financials
• Help clients establish practical accounting processes and workflows
• Work comfortably across different client systems and troubleshoot common accounting, payroll, payment, and software integration issues
• Manage your work independently, meet deadlines, communicate proactively, and make sure projects cross the finish line
• Collaborate with the accounting team and firm leadership when questions or unusual situations arise

• Approximately 5+ years of hands‑on accounting experience; we’re more interested in the quality and breadth of your experience than an exact number of years
• Experience working with small‑business accounting, ideally across multiple clients in a public accounting, outsourced accounting, or Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment
• Strong understanding of cash and accrual accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
• Experience reviewing existing books, identifying errors, and completing accounting cleanup or catch‑up work
• Confidence working directly with clients and explaining accounting clearly without unnecessary jargon
