** Technical Accounting Manager**, who is fueled by high accountability, execution horsepower, and driven to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond.  
** POSITION SUMMARY
** Since Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy Technical Accounting Manager reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting. This person will be responsible for researching, interpreting and implementing complex accounting standards, ensuring compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and providing technical accounting guidance across the organization. This person will also work closely with the financial reporting team and assist in those responsibilities and duties as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, excellent analytical, communication and documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex accounting transactions, financial reporting matters and emerging accounting standards.  
** KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Research, analyze, and document complex accounting issues in accordance with GAAP and applicable SEC regulations as the company prepares for public-company readiness in the future
* Prepare and review technical accounting memoranda supporting significant accounting conclusions and judgments
* Evaluate the accounting implications of complex and nonroutine transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, debt and equity financing, restructuring activities, and contractual arrangements
* Provide technical accounting guidance on ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 842 (Leases), ASC 805 (Business Combinations), ASC 350/360 (Goodwill and Asset Impairment), ASC 718 (Stock-Based Compensation), ASC 815 (Derivatives and Hedging), and other relevant standards
* Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on the company's financial statements, policies, and processes; lead the implementation of newly issued accounting standards
* Partner with corporate accounting/controller group, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal and other departments to obtain and validate information; provide financial reporting guidance to accounting and finance teams to promote consistency and compliance
* Draft and review footnote disclosures, and other narrative sections of documents and external financial statements
* Participate in special projects, including acquisitions, divestitures, financing transactions, system implementations and reporting process enhancements
