Lead Administrative Assistant
Location: Houston, TX 77002 US
Pay Rate: $39.33/hr + benefits & PTO
Schedule: 9/80
Work Arrangement: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote (typically Friday; subject to business needs)
Interview Process: Virtual interviews via MS Teams
Assignment Duration: Possibility for extension based on business needs
Position OverviewThe Lead Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the General Manager and leadership team within Supply, Trading, and Shipping organizations. This role supports efficient daily operations by managing schedules, communications, travel coordination, and internal collaboration. The position provides administrative or office support to non‑executive employees, departments, or functions. Responsibilities include managing group and employee work to align with corporate or departmental objectives.
Direct reports are typically individual contributors.
- Manage executive calendars, prioritize meetings, and coordinate appointments
- Screen and respond to emails and correspondence on behalf of assigned employees
- Organize and support meetings, conferences, and team events
- Maintain communication across internal departments and external stakeholders
- Prepare reports, presentations, and manage confidential documents
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure seamless operations
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5–10 years of administrative experience supporting senior leadership in a manufacturing setting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, One Note)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience in supply chain, trading, or energy industry environments
- Familiarity with global travel coordination and compliance requirements
