Primary Purpose: Maintain inventory of digital, print, hardware, and software resources and provide technology assistance as needed. Perform routine clerical duties and assistance to teachers, students, principals, and district Media Specialists. Serve as the daily facilitator of the media center.
Qualifications/Skills:
Education/Certification:- Minimum of 48 college hours or high school diploma/equivalent plus pass a District Assessment
- Educational Aide Certification
- Ability to work with children
- Ability to work and communicate with children and adults effectively
- Computer literate
- Ability to operate various office equipment (copier/fax machine)
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Communication/Reception and Phones:- Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings and conferences with parent volunteers
- Maintain the school media center including the distribution and return of materials
- Prepare and maintain records including but not limited to print and digital resources as well as hardware and software inventory
- Assist students with book selections in alignment with district policy
- Guide students with technology devices and literature materials as they come in for researching purposes throughout the school year
- Assist the Media Specialist with special events
- Repair media center materials as needed
- Ensure the media center is organized and orderly for optimal use
- Support students and staff with the integration of the District’s learning management system
- Support students and staff in technology use
- Participate in cross-training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Prolonged use of the computer.

- Lifting and moving books, media equipment, tables, chairs, other furniture and/or equipment.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
