Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist / Office Assistant (Medical Office)

We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform various administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include:
- Providing support to our managers and employees.
- Assisting in daily office needs.
- High school education or equivalent required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience related to the Mental Health Industry is preferred.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent typing and computer usage skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
- Ability to relate with people of diverse backgrounds and provide excellent customer service and solutions to problems.
- Knowledge of medical insurance terminology, medical benefits, and billing process.
- Experience with online benefit verification, working with insurance companies, and extensive knowledge of different types of coverage and policies.
- Maintain accurate patient insurance records.
- Good judgment and must have excellent multitasking skills.
- Resourcefulness in problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently, give attention to detail, prioritize, and perform several tasks together without losing concentration.
- Effective in communicating clearly in writing and in speaking without being misunderstood.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar setting is preferred
- TEAM PLAYER and willing to diversify job duties.
- Performs day‑to‑day general office duties including but not limited to word processing, copying, filing, faxing, answering phones, and data entry.
- Scheduling appointments carefully screen patients for the new address, update registration, and inform the patient of adequate information that must be presented at the visit.
- Assist on Doctor Day to manage the flow of patients efficiently.
- Verifies patient benefit eligibility and coverage and document in the Insurance carrier’s system.
- Obtains authorization/referral for office visits/procedures.
- Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote team awareness.
- Ensure complete and accurate data, including patient demographics and current insurance information, and update patient benefit information in the EHR system.
- Receive and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Submitting medical authorizations
- Maintained an adequate amount of office supplies and place orders in a timely manner.
- Responsible for client charts and maintenance of chart room.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Office Manager.
