Order Entry Clerk
Temp to Hire
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: $55,000 – $60,000 per year ($26.44 – $28.84 per hour)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Order Entry Clerk to join our team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced industrial environment and thrives on keeping production moving smoothly. While the core of this role is focused on administrative accuracy and order processing, there is significant room for growth into a proactive inside sales role for the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities

• Order Management:
  Accurately enter new orders into Quick Books and deliver physical orders to the shop floor to initiate production.
• Customer Support:
  Handle incoming phone calls and respond to customer emails promptly and professionally.
• Quoting:
  Provide customers with price lists and formal quotes for standard parts.
• Tracking & Reporting:
  Maintain and update the sales dashboard to track order status and Work in Progress (WIP).

  Coordinate closely with the production team to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Software Proficiency:
  Previous experience with Quick Books and Microsoft Office is required.
• Communication:
  Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with both customers and shop personnel.
• Detail-Oriented:
  Ability to manage high volumes of data entry with zero errors to ensure production accuracy.

Preferred Experience

• Industry Knowledge:
  Experience in Pipe, Valve, & Fitting (PVF) or the Oil & Gas sector. Understanding flange sizing, specification standards, and industry nomenclature will significantly shorten the training period.
• Sales Aptitude:
  Candidates who are interested in performing Inside Sales functions—such as following up on quotes and taking a proactive approach to business development—are highly encouraged to apply.
