Scope and Purpose:
We are seeking an important role for a Support Specialist in our Life and Health underwriting divisions. As our new Support Specialist, you will be preparing life and health applications for review by the health and life underwriters, preparing worksheets for phone interviews, and providing any other assistance needed within the department. This is a Houston-based in-office position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Run social security searches.
- Run MIB (Medical Information Bureau database) and prescription history reports.
- Preparing worksheets for phone interviews.
- Preparing life insurance underwriting worksheets.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
:
- Attention to detail and accuracy of data entered.
- Proficient technical skills using various programs and applications such as, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and/or Webex Teams, etc.
- Willingness to help and learn.
- Ability to maintain a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable attitude in challenging situations.
