Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a detail‑oriented and analytically driven Human Resources Analyst to join our team!

Role Summary

This role manages workforce data to support strategic planning, analytics, and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data handling with a strong attention to data integrity and precision.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Collects, cleans, and validates workforce data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Calculates and reports data analytics across core HR functions, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, and learning & development. Assists in the development of dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate trends and insights to business stakeholders. Documents data definitions, reporting methodologies, and source systems to support data governance and transparency.

    Creates templates and tools to streamline data collection and reporting processes. Coordinates federal reporting requirements, including calculating key metrics and compiling data for VETS‑4212.
  • Workforce Planning: Supports workforce planning cycles by gathering and organizing data inputs, collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and complete data submission, monitors the implementation and progress of workforce plans, and identifies potential risks or gaps and escalates as needed. Assists in building and maintaining skills inventories to assess organizational capabilities and identify talent gaps. Participates in post‑cycle reviews to identify opportunities for process improvement and data quality enhancement.
  • Employee Programs: Administers Buck Ideas payment processing and manages the associated approval workflow to ensure timely and accurate transactions. Serves as an HR liaison to Buckeye Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), providing support as needed with ERG initiatives. And other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR analytics or business analytics role.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and chart creation.
  • Intermediate PowerPoint proficiency for data visualization and executive presentations.
  • Experience in data collection, cleaning, and validation processes.
  • Familiarity with HR systems or ERP platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to perform basic workforce metric calculations and interpret results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across HR and business teams.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Travel: 10%
