Provide maintenance and development of custom software applications, which includes implementation, roll out and user support. Responsible for developing, testing, and documenting custom applications, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems to implement new requirements according to user requests. Assist internal personnel in the use of the applications. Create and maintain corporate reports and dashboards at PPI, ensuring they align with user needs and requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)- Basic evaluation of user requests for new or modified computer programs to determine feasibility and time required for implementation. Complement analysis with assistance of the supervisor. Maintain dialog with users as development progresses.
- Basic analysis of problems to be solved or procedures to be implemented using data processing resources and techniques.
- Consult and obtain instructions from the supervisor concerning maintenance of the system software.
- Develop programs using structured analysis and design, prepare flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate sequence of steps a program must follow and describe logical operations involved.
- Perform testing activities and support project implementations.
- Recreate steps taken by user to locate source of problem or errors, implement correction and test the modified program.
- Assist internal personnel in any problems that arise during their operation.
- Support IT project execution by collaborating with developers on code reviews, preparing and coordinating test scenarios in the quality environment, and partnering with the supervisor to track results and achieve user acceptance.
- Assists in the creation of technical and business documentation, including the design specifications, user manuals, guides, use cases, flowcharts and all the documentation needed to execute a project.
- Develop the queries necessary to generate corporate reports with PPI’s reporting tools, ensuring reports are maintained and updated by incorporating or removing information based on end-user requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or University.
- 0-2 years of relevant professional experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrates honesty, trustworthiness, integrity, and dependability.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals; able to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and recommend effective solutions.
- Capable of evaluating new software and techniques to enhance existing tools and processes.
Travel:
- 0% - 10% of the time in the United States, Mexico, or as required.
Language:
- Fluent in English;
Spanish is desirable but is not a requirement for the position.
Special requirements:
- Desirable knowledge in development using C/C++, Java, Oracle database and development tools, Visual Studio C# to build web services.
- Desirable experience with Business Objects/Crystal Reports or Power BI.
- Computer Skills – Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Outlook.
