Position Summary:
Plays a critical role in advancing Goodwill’s mission by transforming data into actionable insights that demonstrate impact, strengthen accountability, and inform strategic decision‑making. This role is responsible for data analytics, validation, reporting, and research that support mission performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Acts as a key partner within the mission department by ensuring data integrity, creating meaningful scorecards, and managing required internal and external data submissions, including Goodwill Gateway submissions, network comparisons, and annual reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Data Analytics:
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, outcomes, and opportunities related to mission impact, workforce development, and organizational performance.
- Develop dashboards, visualizations, and analytical tools to support leadership and operational decision‑making.
- Translate data findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Impact Measurement & Data Validation (Report‑Facing):
- Lead validation of mission and workforce data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across reports.
- Partner with program and operational teams to resolve data discrepancies and strengthen data quality practices.
- Support internal and external reporting requirements with a strong emphasis on credibility, audit readiness, and storytelling through data.
- Scorecards:
- Design, maintain, and refine mission and performance scorecards aligned with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcome measures to track progress and inform course corrections.
- Provide regular scorecard updates to leadership and cross‑functional teams.
- Research and Development:
- Conduct research to support program development, ongoing improvement, and innovation initiatives.
- Analyze labor market data, workforce trends, and best practices to guide strategy and program development.
- Support pilot initiatives and new data methodologies that enhance impact measurement.
- Goodwill Gateway:
- Serve as the primary lead or subject matter expert for Goodwill Gateway data submissions.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting in alignment with Goodwill Industries International (GII) standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather, verify, and submit necessary data elements.
- Manage monthly collection, validation, and submission of mission measures data.
- Ensure consistency across monthly reports, annual reports, and internal dashboards.
- Identify trends or anomalies and communicate insights to mission leadership.
- Goodwill Network Data Comparisons:
- Analyze and benchmark organizational performance against Goodwill network peers.
- Prepare comparative analyses that highlight strengths, opportunities, and trends across the network.
- Present insights to leadership to support strategic planning and performance improvement.
