About the Role:
Are you passionate about the idea that a company's success is driven by its people? If so, PSI is the place for you! PSI thrives because of the talented individuals who build, design, and support our mission. At Pacific Smoke International, our mission is to help people quit smoking by offering safer alternatives to traditional cigarettes. As the leading distributor of electronic vaporizers and award-winning vaping products in Canada, we've made great strides since our founding in 2013.
With our expansion into the US, we have even more to achieve for our customers, and we're excited to bring a culturally aligned Sales Operations Analyst onto our dynamic team.
The Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for the accurate category analysis and various sales reporting needs of the business. This individual will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, the executive team, and other relevant stakeholders to deliver key performance indicators and help guide the sales organization to meet and exceed its targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to track key sales KPIs, New Product Launches (NPLs), and performance against budgets and targets.
- Create and deliver monthly category analysis for both Specialty and C&G channels, including executive-level presentations.
- Perform ad hoc analyses to support strategic decisions and identify sales opportunities or risks.
- Manage and optimize territory design in collaboration with sales leadership to ensure efficient coverage and performance.
- Own and maintain the CRM tool (e.g., Map My Customers), ensuring data accuracy and user adoption across the sales team.
- Roll out KPIs through the CRM and track team performance on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Work closely with sales leaders to improve the end-to-end sales process and track operational KPIs.
- Support accurate revenue forecasting and budget tracking, including breaking down national forecasts to the store level.
- Drive alignment across Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to enhance forecast accuracy and execution.
- Support ROI evaluations for sales and marketing campaigns, providing recommendations based on insights from sales data and performance trends.
- Act as a point of contact for wholesaler operations-managing general invoicing, chasing payments, inventory tracking, and report collection.
- Ensure smooth communication and reporting between wholesale partners and internal teams.
- Analyze category sales data from Net Suite, syndicated reports, and retailer POS (current/future) to glean insights that inform business strategies.
- Translate data into actionable insights for the sales team and management.
- Continuously investigate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve reporting, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of sales operations, processes, and pipeline management
- Proven experience with data analysis, sales reporting, and performance tracking
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, etc.) with the ability to manage and analyze large datasets
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Map My Customers, Salesforce) and data visualization/reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite) is a plus
- Familiarity with wholesale or retail channel operations is an asset
