10Role: Global Lead Chemicals, Strategic Engagement & Intelligence Group
The Team: The role is part of the 20+ member Strategic Engagement & Intelligence Group, a part of Platts cross‑commodity Market Development & Engagement Group (MD&E). The global leader for chemicals engagement will be responsible for developing engagement plans and ensuring execution of engagement activities for global chemicals markets. The candidate will lead external engagement meetings in support of Platts commodity pricing, gather market intelligence, develop new assessments and market coverage, represent Platts at key meetings, and work on special projects as needed by commodity pricing teams and other MD&E units.
The Impact: This role is critical to elevate Platts’ visibility in global chemicals markets, drive market and methodology development, and educate markets on the importance of physical benchmarks.*******************************************************************************************

Responsibilities:
- Lead engagement strategy planning with regional and global teams.
- Lead execution of the plan by establishing meetings and supporting commercially requested meetings.
- Learn details across the commodities portfolio to present across topics.
- Collaborate with content‑commercial on the Value Add program.
- Drive best practice for Market Engagement: develop high‑quality presentation content and meeting notes, demonstrate strong presentation and meeting communication skills, and demonstrate strong planning skills.
- Participate in methodology planning and development in the region.
- Contribute to social media content development (blogs, podcasts, webinars).
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid understanding of global chemicals markets.
- Experience in price formation and methodology in those markets.
- Previous experience engaging clients or sources in markets.
- Foundational experience with leadership and influencing skills.
- Excellent planning and time‑management skills.
- Strong communication skills including public speaking experience, good listening skills, and strong written and oral capabilities.
- Exercise critical thinking capabilities.
- Multilingual capabilities is a plus.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30–40 %.
Basic Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree with master’s preferable.
- Market pricing experience with good understanding of trade flows and workings of global chemicals markets.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent leadership.

Compensation / Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. The role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits. For more information on benefits, visit
