Overview:

This opportunity sits within a fast-paced crude trading and supply environment, supporting the accuracy of inventory movements, trade positions, and accounting records within SAP S4. The role offers broad exposure across volumetric accounting, inventory analysis, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution, with a strong focus on data quality, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. This position will also contribute to process improvement activity, including Excel macro development and exploration of automation opportunities.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:

3-5 years of experience in a volumetric accounting or inventory analyst role

Crude or NGL experience

Experience monitoring and verifying transactions related to crude trading and supply movements in line with accounting standards

Experience analyzing inventory builds, draws, and reconciliation data throughout the month

Experience supporting discrepancy resolution during high-intensity periods such as month-end close

Required Skills:
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with detailed data
  • Ability to run financial and inventory-related reporting activities in an ERP environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot inventory and nomination issues
  • Ability to work closely with schedulers, traders, accounting teams, and managed service resources
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise demands from multiple departments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong reading comprehension
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Detail-oriented approach with an accounting background
  • Ability to create macros in Excel
  • Openness to exploring AI agents for automation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience running financial and inventory reports in SAP, especially SAP S4
  • Experience with SAP and/or Right Angle
  • Customer-focused approach to supporting internal stakeholder needs
  • Ability to identify trends, recurring issues, and process improvement opportunities in scheduling activities
