Serves as the point of contact between TcSUH and outside interests and is responsible for development, public consortium membership and related activities. Coordinates conventions and TcSUH sponsored meetings, and the dissemination of information generated from TcSUH.

1. Maintains good public relations with the TcSUH Advisory Board, and outside corporations, consortium members, and other organizations.

2. Promotes TcSUH to external constituencies; conducts briefings/presentations and attends meetings as required.
3. Identifies appropriate contacts; prepares correspondence and materials related to potential projects, including the preparation of proposals for funding in collaboration with the Center Directorate.

3. Coordinates visits of local, state, national and international visitors; coordinates TcSUH meetings/special events for external constituencies.

4. Develops partners in the schools' program for integration with UH Public School Partnerships Program.

5. Oversees the TcSUH Visitor Program and graduate student recruitment for TcSUH.

6. Plans internal seminars, colloquia and special events designed to promote the exchange of information between TcSUH personnel.

7. Collects and disseminates information regarding the technical and scientific activities of the Center.

8. Prepares, coordinates, and issues announcements, technical reports, brochures and other information regarding TcSUH plans and activities.

9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ: "Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience. "
