* Minimum Requirements:

*** Two years’ of experience in a scheduling role within appropriate commodity industries (crude, fuel oil, refined products preferred)
* Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, economics or equivalent preferred
* Experience with trade capture, scheduling, finance, and risk management systems
* Specialized knowledge and skills in a variety of scheduling processes and activities
* Strong understanding of commodity trade positioning
* Superior analytical, quantitative skills and accounting acumen
* In-depth understanding of waterborne and pipeline operational requirements  Don’t have all the qualifications listed? That’s ok! Apply anyway. We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills.
** Responsibilities:
*** Responsible for arranging all transportation requirements for the execution of trading activity
* Develop comprehensive delivery schedule and communicate to key stakeholders on a daily basis
* Assist in reviewing and improving processes for the department to optimize the company portfolio
* Anticipates patterns and links; looks beyond the immediate problem to the wider implications
* Works autonomously within established procedures while adding value with continuous improvement
* Utilizing experience level to promote cross training and develop colleagues through knowledge sharing
* Apply critical thinking for new and innovative solutions to complex operational problem solving
* Ability to handle unexpected operational issues and provide guidance during off-peak hours
** Location and other Key Details:
*** You will work out of the Houston office, located at 2 Allen Centre, 1200 Smith St
* This role is office based, hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
