Recruitment Consultant - General Contractors | Commercial Construction | Texas
Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Estimator or Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts across diverse commercial sectors including healthcare, education, industrial, hospitality, and more. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex projects, guiding a team through all stages of the estimating process — from conceptual design to final bid submission.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate self‑perform, hard bid, negotiated, and conceptual estimating efforts.
- Manage the entire bid process: subcontractor solicitation, scope review, proposal evaluation, and post‑bid analysis.
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of project estimates prepared by the team.
- Provide input on materials, methods, and cost studies to support project planning and execution.
- Collaborate closely with project management, clients, and design teams during preconstruction and throughout project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to stay informed on upcoming opportunities.
- Participate in proposal development, RFP/RFQ responses, and client presentations.
- Mentor and train estimators, promoting technical growth and accuracy across the team.
- Support marketing and business development strategies through estimating insights and cost feedback.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and ethical standards in all estimating activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3‑7+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating, with comprehensive understanding of all major disciplines.
- Proven track record of managing preconstruction and estimating for large, complex projects.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with clients.
- Proficiency in estimating software and related construction management tools.
