We are currently seeking:
Site Safety Manager
The Site Safety Manager is responsible for supporting and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment on construction sites. This role works closely with the Project Superintendent, Crew Superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel to promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibilities:- Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and audits of the job site and follow up on corrective actions.
- Conduct site Safety Training
- Enforce safety procedures and site rules, conduct safety and quality control meetings and inspections.
- Address safety violations and operational deficiencies promptly.
- Lead all injuries and accident investigations
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Complete on-site toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Provide ongoing safety training and education to site personnel.
- Respond to and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and root cause analyses.
- Coordinate with medical personnel and emergency responders when needed.
- Track and report safety metrics and trends.
- Submit weekly training and monthly safety reports to the EHS Manager.
- Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory inspections and audits.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to integrate safety into daily operations.
- Support subcontractors in meeting safety requirements.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and leadership.
- Track site conditions and identify potential safety issues, and document these items in daily reports and emails.
- Collaborate with Project Superintendent to complete daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Toolbox Safety Meeting Checklists, and other required documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field-related safety inquiries and decisions.
- Perform other duties which aredeemedby management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:- Willingness and ability to travel 100% of the time.
- Ability to use Technology and Delivery of training
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
- Capable of coordinating diverse teams and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks to access worksite locations.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2–4 years of safety experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, and other related software.
- Previous experience with perimeter security, force protection, fencing or barricades (preferred).
- OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent); current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Certified to operate construction-related equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers (lulls), forklifts, and man lifts
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
- Sitting, standing, lifting up to 80 lbs. etc.
