Safety Professional – Satterfield & Pontikes Construction

We are adding a Safety Professional to our Houston team. Reporting to the Safety Director, you will focus on multiple projects in the Houston area, strengthening our safety culture by guiding teams to improve safety meetings, job site walks, and reviewing all safety documentation for compliance.

• Employee and subcontractor safety-related meetings and presentations
• Review all accident/incident investigation reports for completeness and accuracy
• Publish lessons learned from near misses, accidents, and incidents
• Oversee walk-through inspections at project sites with project personnel; provide technical guidance and expertise to Project Managers and Superintendents
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of sites to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agency standards and company policies
• Primary contact and responsible for direct communication with OSHA and all safety regulatory agencies
• Develop programs for monitoring subcontractor safety performance
• Regular job site attendance required
• Other duties as assigned

• 3+ years in safety with a commercial general contractor
• Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred
• Possesses CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST or other equivalent credentials
