Lead Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily

Macdonald & Company is partnered with a nationally recognized real estate developer focused on delivering exceptional multifamily communities. As part of their growth in the Texas market, we are seeking a motivated Lead Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on major construction projects across the region. This is a great opportunity for a driven Assistant Superintendent who is ready to take the next step into a Superintendent role within the next 6-12 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and managing daily construction site activities
  • Support the General Superintendent in maintaining project schedules, logs, and reports
  • Conduct routine safety walks and enforce job site safety protocols
  • Track project progress and help lead subcontractor coordination meetings
  • Ensure all construction is in compliance with updated plans, specifications, and codes
  • Review and help process RFIs, change orders, and inspection reports
  • Coordinate field layout, quality assurance efforts, and punch list completion
  • Maintain project documentation using platforms like Procore and Excel
  • Communicate updates clearly to team members, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Participate in team and client meetings; assist with meeting documentation
Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • 2-3+ years of experience in ground-up multifamily construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, plans, and safety practices
  • Familiarity with field coordination, punch lists, inspections, and schedules
  • Experience with construction management software (Procore, Textura, MS Office)
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • OSHA 30 certification (completed or in progress)
  • Highly organized, dependable, and solutions-oriented
  • Fluent in English;
    Spanish is a plus
  • Valid U.S. work authorization and driver's license
