Senior Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician – Houston, Texas
OverviewIntertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (PSI) team in Houston, Texas. This role offers a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Intertek:

- Operate, maintain and calibrate testing equipment; conduct soil and/or concrete testing and provide assessment of data through reports.
- Utilize drawings, specifications and diagrams to read and interpret plans.
- Observe site activities and perform tasks and complex assignments.
- Document detailed observations, interpret results, and maintain test data records.
- Communicate effectively with client and project teams and attend project meetings.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience as a lab technician in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) OR NICET Level II AND 2 years’ experience in CMT OR TXDOT Level 1A, 1B AND SB102 certification AND 2 years’ experience in CMT.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 25% and work off shifts, overtime, and 50‑pound lifting.
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather and at various heights.
- ACI Certifications.
- NICET Level II concrete, soil & asphalt certification.
