Job SummaryThis position is 50% remote / 50% onsite. Union or Union management experience is strongly preferred.
Key Qualifications- 5 years hands‑on concrete experience
- 5 years ascending the ladder: craft‑foreman, general foreman, superintendent, working with concrete
- 5 years successful management as a superintendent of major industrial power projects including steam turbine pedestals, combustion turbine & generator foundations, and large area HRSG foundations
- Provide concrete support for national construction projects
- Direct administration and training of construction personnel for national construction projects
- Develop standard operating procedures for construction execution which minimize cost and duration of construction activities
- Monitor, evaluate, and report civil performance of assigned construction projects to Operation Manager
- Provide recommendations to Operation Manager regarding project civil staff assignments and teams
- Act as liaison between construction and engineering for all concrete‑related matters
- Ensure all construction projects meet client‑specified civil quality standards
- Support site superintendents in developing SOPs, man‑loaded and equipment‑loaded schedules (fragnet schedules), staging plans, bill of materials, and quality control plans
- Lead weekly civil superintendent calls to discuss safety, quality, productivity, and resource needs
- Establish and maintain relationships and develop a high level of trust with key clients, alliance partners, subcontractors, and project teams
- Communicate lessons learned and review project budget/unit rates with assigned superintendent to determine alignment with company earning rules
- Coordinate and track equipment assignments with site teams and CEF’s, maintaining a spreadsheet for updates
- Direct corrective action for disciplinary problems or poor performance, involving Department and Human Resources as required
- Enforce and interpret division and department policies, standards, and procedures
- Provide supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports
- Adhere to safety and quality standards applicable to duties and accountabilities
- Identify and assess improvement opportunities that add value; champion continuous improvement efforts and support change management
- Assist staff in engaging in continuous improvement activities
- Travel to support sites when and where needed
- 5 years of successful management as a superintendent of major industrial power projects, including steam turbine pedestals, combustion turbine & generator foundations, and large area HRSG foundations
- 5 years of hands‑on concrete experience
- 5 years of ascending the ladder: craft‑foreman, general foreman, superintendent working with concrete
- Experience in GPS machine control
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum software capability requirements:
Agtek, MS Word, MS Excel
Bachelor’s degree in construction or heavy industrial experience preferred, or relevant experience. 3+ years of construction management experience.
