Scott Humphrey has partnered with a highly respected General Contractor to identify a Senior Estimator who will play a key leadership role within their Preconstruction team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking to lead complex educational projects, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the continued growth of a well-established construction organization.
With a strong backlog and robust pipeline of upcoming work, particularly in the K-12 education sector
, the company is seeking a professional who can lead estimates, provide strategic preconstruction guidance, and help secure high-profile school projects throughout the DFW market.
- Lead estimates for K-12 projects from concept through award
- Prepare conceptual, budget, GMP, and hard-bid estimates
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Manage subcontractor pricing, scope reviews, and value engineering
- Collaborate with owners, architects, and project teams
- Support and mentor junior estimators
- Ensure smooth turnover to Operations
- 5+ years of estimating experience with a Commercial General Contractor
- Experience with ground-up and renovation work ranging from $6M-$50M+
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and pricing
- Experience with estimating software and takeoff tools
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus
