Events Assistant

Compensation: $59,000 - $66,000 / year

Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Events Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of events, ranging from corporate meetings to large‑scale conferences and social gatherings. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about event management and is eager to learn the ins and outs of the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of various events, including corporate meetings, conferences, and social gatherings.
  • Coordinate logistics related to venues, catering, audiovisual equipment, and decorations.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date event calendars and timelines to ensure all preparations are on schedule.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and oversee their services during events.
  • Assist in creating event materials, such as invitations, agendas, and promotional materials.
  • Gather feedback post‑event to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event management software.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in event planning or related fields is a plus but not required.
